There are three things I have realized about the creative writing profession. First, the lifelong learning, price, and process to be a literary artist is far greater than most ever imagine, and so is its value.

Second, gaining appreciation for the art of literature, research, and critical thinking, as a Humanities English literature student, was enriched as a Fine Arts literary writing student; made more practical with formal professional training as an educator; and continues to progress with elevated purpose as a Christian Science practitioner and student.

And third, the highest levels of learning are made possible by approaching the meaningful arts of writing, literature, and healing through writing, teaching, storytelling, and experience.
